| By raising you off of the ground, platforms provide additional comfort. |
|||||||||||||
| Squared-off, pie-shaped sections function well. Platforms should be made in transportable, manageable sections. |

Platforms must be stable, properly blocked, and have sufficient decking strength. They must provide adequate firepit space. Platforms must fit the tipi properly (the diameter should be about 1 foot less than the diameter of the tipi). |

| The platform site should be cleared and leveled, and may be spread with gravel before the platform is put in place. The space between slats should be narrow, to prevent tripping, and to allow for a consistent surface. Decking can be slats rather than plywood, to provide drainage, and allow for flying sparks to be extinguished. |

Furniture Platforms provide individual comfort. They are sized for a single mattress. Although this Furniture Platform is seen atop a regular Platform they are more commonly used on a gravel pad. Two may be pushed together to form a Double mattress sized sleeping area. |
