Arrow Tipi is proud of its 20 year history of harvesting, manufacturing and supplying high quality pole sets to commercial operators and private citizens around North America. A pole set is created beginning in Arrow Tipi's timber sale. Each year we purchase a volume of lodge pole pine wood to be "pre- harvested" from the local timber supply. A "selective" method of hand harvesting is used. This means that only poles to be used as tipi poles can be cut. Each tree is cut, topped, limbed and bucked on site. Tops and branches are left to return to the bio-mass. Poles are then hand dragged to an already constructed access road. This reduces "ground loading"to a minimum. Our harvesting has been described as "the least intrusive alternative." Poles are then hand peeled, dried, assembled into sets, and colour coded. Our patented widgets are installed and the sets are shipped or delivered. |

Each pole set consists of 3 tripod poles (widgets attached) a door pole, 2 smoke flap poles, a pre-measured lifting pole, and 8 regular poles. Easy to remove colour coding and pre-measuring mean perfect pitches every time. |
