| 1. Sweep platforms regularly. 2. Keep fire extinguisher inside tipi. 3. Keep food in containers. 4. Remove garbage regularly. 5. Keep wet floor space free of gear. |

6. Keep flammables well away from the firepit, or store in safe containers. 7. Avoid using spruce, or other sparky woods. 8. Keep plenty of dry firewood inside your tipi. 9. Close smoke flaps when you leave your tipi for an extended period of time (the wind can come up quickly). 10. Leave the tipi pegged down. |

| 11. Leave the door on, (roll up and tie to open). 12. Replace broken lacing pins Immediately. 13. Replace fallen smoke flap poles. 14. Cover small holes in the canvas with duct tape until they can be repaired. 15. Keep toilet facilities away from tipi site. |

If it is too smokey... 16. Remove children from upper bunks until situation improves. 17. Adjust the smoke flaps to the wind. 18. Stir of stoke up the fire. 19. Make sure the bottom of the tipi is clear so air can get to fire. 20. Close the door. Add air inlet pipe for fire. Use dry wood. |
