| Pitch on the side of a hill or trees, to maximize sunlight and minimize wind. Make sure that the closest trees will not dump their snow load onto the tipi. |

Delineate wet and dry zones... Place rugs for warmth and comfort over the platform in your dry zone. |

| Firewood... Keep a large supply of split, dry firewood inside the tipi. |

Pipe in an air supply A 1.5"diameter pipe should be run under the platform, from the outside to the fire pit. It will reduce draughts. |

| Install Platform... At least 4" from ground may be insulated underneath. |

Install liner and Ozan... Liner could be extended across doorway to create a vestibule, to reduce draughts. These tipis have been "merged" to create a warm winter haven. |
